So it's come down to this...I'm leaving blogger.
I've had quite a few blogs and not too many problems but the issues lately are too much to take. Anyone have suggestions on a new host, perhaps Typepad or Wordpress?

I transferred my blogger blog to wordpress almost 2 years ago. I didn't lose even a single comment.
I'm having mostly photo issues and some template issues. Once Blogger converted to this new system a year or so ago I've been unable to use certain templates and unable to add any of my own code to Blogger templates w/o an error message. It frustrates me beyond belief!
It's a toss up between Typepad and Wordpress. Typepad you have to pay for, Wordpress is free I believe. I'm going to give both a test run.
